It is with great sadness that the Board of Directors, management and staff of LHK Group mark the passing of Colm Kelleher Snr, founder of the MJ Kelleher business on Trinity Street, Drogheda.
LHK Group’s roots date back to 1938, when Colm’s father, Myles Kelleher, established Kelleher Insurance in Dundalk, Co. Louth. Colm continued that family tradition, going on to establish MJ Kelleher on Trinity Street in Drogheda, building the business and its presence in the local community. Today, that legacy continues through the third generation of the Kelleher family at LHK Group.
Colm had a deep connection to Drogheda and was dedicated to the local community in which he lived and worked. He believed strongly in building lasting relationships with people, something that was reflected both in the business he built and in the friendships he formed over the years.
Colm’s vision, values and commitment laid important foundations for the business LHK Group has become today. His contribution is an enduring part of our history and heritage, and one of which we are immensely proud. He will be remembered with great affection, respect and gratitude by those whose lives he touched through the business, including colleagues and clients alike.
Colm will be deeply missed by his son, Colm Kelleher Jnr, CEO of LHK Group, and by everyone across the LHK community. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his wife, Marina, and the entire Kelleher family at this very sad time.
As a mark of respect, our Drogheda office will be closed on the morning of Thursday, 22 October.
