Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
• Manage and post month VDP payments made on office bank account.
• Manage creditors’ reconciliations.
• Reconciliation and posting of credit card transactions (outside Expensein).
Staff Expenses
• Posting of staff expenses outside Expensein and ensure all receipts are provided.
Month End & Quarter End Accounts Procedures
• Prepare and post journal entries in Sage 50, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting
standards.
• Reconcile and post petty cash at month end.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Record Capital Expenditure and maintain fixed asset register.
• Prepare and post Depreciation journals.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts including intercompany transactions.
• Analysis of key nominal accounts.
• Support Forecasting process by financial data analysis.
• Assisting with month-end close.
Other
• Assist with annual external audit.
• Support financial reporting processes.
• Provide ad-hoc support and assistance to Finance Manager as required
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
• Accounting Technician or part qualified in an internationally recognised Accounting Qualification
(ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a finance or bookkeeping role, working
effectively as a team member and on own initiative.
• Strong knowledge and experience using Sage 50 or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Desirable
• Experience working in the Financial Services sector an advantage, but not essential.
